About
Auditions for the UAB Ethics Bowl Team are open to any full-time UAB undergraduate student registered in the fall semester, during which auditions occur. In addition, students desiring to make the team may be required to take a preparatory course during the fall where cases are analyzed and debated in class.
Sponsors for the UAB Ethics Team include the Center for Ethics and Values in the Sciences, the Early Medical Professional Schools Acceptance Program, and individual donors.
UAB Ethics Bowl Team Competes
In its first year in 2008-09, the UAB Ethics Team placed 2nd in the Southeastern Regional in St. Petersburg, Florida and 12th in the national finals in Cincinatti, Ohio. In its 2nd year in 2009-10, the team placed 3rd in St. Petersburg, and again qualified for the national finals in March in Cincinatti.
