A PLACE IN THE SUN When the fences came down around UAB’s new Campus Green last summer, students eagerly adopted its spacious lawns and walkways as a prime place for exercising, studying, meeting up, and hanging out. The four-block green covers the heart of UAB, linking the Campus Recreation Center, the dining commons, student housing, and classroom buildings. And it will continue to grow; plans call for adding trees, fountains, and an entranceway from University Boulevard. Click here to see the slideshow.
