Routine and acute care visits to the SHS clinic- no copays
Yearly GYN visit (1) for women
Nebulizer treatments and meds administered in the SHS clinic
Minor procedures where medically indicated (not cosmetic)
24/7 On call coverage by UAB Family Medicine faculty
What The Fee Does NOT cover...
*Pre-matriculation physicals (by definition these are required before students are eligible for entry into UAB)
*Immunizations required for school enrollment purposes ( varicella, measles, hepatitis B)
*Antibody titers required for school enrollment Allergy injections (immunotherapy)
Co-payments for specialist visits
Cosmetic skin procedures (benign mole removal, wart removals)
Extensive, optional, or non-school related physicals (Job Corp., Peace Corp., pre- employment physicals )
Disability assessments
Obstetrical services
Meningitis and Flu vaccines
Lab tests, Pap tests, Xrays
Spirometry
Electrocardiograms
* considered administrative costs of attending UAB and not routine primary care services
