The Office of Technology and Information Services (OTIS) provides application development, reporting services, and infrastructure support for the Offices of Enrollment Management and other UAB offices.

- Application Development and Reporting Services
The programming group develops and maintains information systems and Web-based applications used by students, faculty, and staff across the UAB campus. These systems include the Early Alert System, CampusCard, the online registration system for New Student Orientation, the online undergraduate admission application, the online housing application, the online financial aid data sheet, and numerous others. This group also generates customized reports based on student data for UAB faculty and staff.
- Server Administration and Helpdesk
The infrastructure group provides hardware and software support for systems used in Student Services daily operations. This support includes maintenance of workstations, servers, and software systems that are used by Student Affairs staff, including e-mail, database, scheduling, word processing, optical imaging, Web hosting, and more. The infrastructure group provides support for the CampusCard and the Campus Recreation Center systems. In addition, this group operates a computer lab, located in Hill University Center (room 400-C) that is open to all students who have a valid BlazerID and password.
