Student Retention programs are designed to ease your transition to UAB, help you to achieve your goals, and prepare you for the phase of your life that follows graduation from UAB.
A UAB freshman might want to consider taking our success course, “Survive and Thrive at UAB” to learn to do just those things...and more!
We also offer the Multicultural Scholars Program, which brings together special resources and services designed to better prepare students for a career, graduate school or first-professional schools.
In addition, the Office of Student Retention programs provides services and information for students receiving Veterans' benefits.
