Student Organizations Recognition and Renewal

UAB recognizes more than 100 organizations dedicated to the development of students academically and personally. Student Organizations include groups focusing on hobbies, religion, music, athletics, cultural diversity, and more. Every academic major is represented in some form. If an organization you are interested in is not available, it is never too late to start one!!



Creating your BSync account:

  1. Go to uab.edu/BSync
  2. Click the “Register/Login” button on the right of the top selection bar
  3. Update your personal profile (this step only needs to be done once). Make sure you update your email address and name
  4. Continue by clicking Next
  5. Save your profile
  6. Click Submit

To create a new Student Organization:

You must complete the following steps to start a new Student Organization on campus.

  1. Log in to UAB Campus R.O.C.
  2. At the top click "My Orgs"
  3. Click "Join an Org"
  4. Click "Register New Organization" on the top of the page
  5. Fill out the appropriate information (new Organizations must upload a membership list and a constitution and by-laws)
  6. Click "Finish"

To Renew your Organization:

You must renew your Organization information each August to maintain "active" organization status.

  1. Log in to UAB Campus R.O.C.
  2. From the "My Orgs" dropdown list, choose the organization you want to renew
  3. On the left hand sidebar, click "Org Profile"--update the fields provided
