New students, who are transferring from a 2-year community college, are automatically considered for all university-wide academic scholarships upon admission to UAB. Students must be admitted to UAB by March 1 for the upcoming summer or fall semester in order to be considered for one of the three scholarships listed below. All scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, as funds are available.
To be considered, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and have earned at least 45 semester hours of academic coursework (60 semester hours upon transfer to UAB). International students, part-time students, and students with previous coursework from another 4-year institution will not be considered. Apply on-line at www.uab.edu/apply.
