The new UAB Health System CEO Will Ferniany donates blood under the watch of phlebotomist Kassandra Keith during the UAB/Red Cross Labor Day blood drive. Some 380 units of blood were donated Tuesday and Wednesday, out of a goal of 406. Nearly half of those donations came from UAB employees. Blood collection continues Thursday and Friday at the second floor atrium of the North Pavilion, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Donors receive passes for free golf outings and a chance to win great prizes.
