The Office of Psychiatric Clinical Research offers the following resources for Phase II, III and IV studies:

Research Projects: Clinical Trials Currently Enrolling Participants
1. GSK-3 Study: The purpose of this study is to test the changes of an enzyme, glycogen synthase kinase-3, in the blood cells of individuals with either Bipolar Disorder or Major Depressive Disorder before and after treatment with medications for mood disorders. 2. Adult ADHD + Insomnia: This is an 8 week, randomized double-blind, placebo controlled crossover trial of Ramelteon in adult ADHD subjects who suffer from initial insomnia. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of Ramelteon compared to placebo on sleep latency, sleep-onset, and total sleep time measures in adults with ADHD. 3. Alzheimer's Disease: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of multiple doses of intravenously administered bapineuzumab on biomarkers that may be indicative of disease modification in subsets of patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's Disease versus placebo. (Principal Investigator: F. Cleveland Kinney, M.D., Ph.D., Sub-Investigator: Daniel Dahl, M.D.)

4. Adolescent Schizophrenia: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of oral ziprasidone compared to placebo in the treatment of adolescent subjects, ages 13-17, with schizophrenia. Studies Currently in Follow-up
1. Autism: The purpose of the study is to look at the safety and effectiveness of different doses of Aripiprazole compared to placebo in children and adolescents, ages 6 to 19, with autistic disorder. (Investigators: Latamia White, MD, Laura Montgomery-Barefield, MD, Tolulope Aduroja, MD, Suneel Katragadda, MD, and Lee Tolbert, PhD)
