OPT-314 Optometric Gerontology, This course covers topics related to changes in the eye and visual system with the aging process. Also covered are broader issues of gerontology including demographic, cognitive, social, medical, and payment systems that impact care of older adults.
OPT-315 Neuro-Optometry, This course covers the diagnosis and management of major neurological disorders that affect the visual.
Research:
Dr. Swanson's research interests include the epidemiology and functional impact of vision disorders among the elderly. New research is being developed in cortical adaptation to retinal disease.
