The Optical Service Department, located just inside the entrance to UAB Eye Care, provides a wide selection of eyewear for the entire family. The opticians will be happy to explain the options available to you, and assist you in the right choices for your individual needs. Perhaps because of your job you need a separate pair of eyeglasses. Do you work at a computer all day? Do you work under fluorescent lights? Does the glare from headlights bother you while driving at night? All of these factors can make a difference in what is best for you. The optician will use this information to design the perfect pair of eyeglasses for you. One that matches the frame, lenses, and options that will provide the optimum comfort, look good, and of course, help you see the best you can!
With over 1400 frames, there are many selections for men, women, and children. Men can choose from brands such as Calvin Klein, Gant, Harley-Davidson, Jhane Barnes, Michael Kors, Nautica, Nike, Sean John, Giorgio and Silhouette to name a few. Women can choose from brands like Bongo, Candies, FYSH, Calvin Klein, Guess, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Nine West, Dior, Coach, Gucci, and more. Children can choose from Disney, Bongo, Candies and more. All of the prescription eyewear is made with quality lenses from Varilux, Hoya, or Zeiss.
Do you need new sunglasses? There are selections from over 18 different brands, including Maui Jim and Fendi. Are you active in sports? Ask our opticians about Rec Specs. How about optical accessories such as chains, cases, or extra eyeglass cleaner? The Optical Services Department has all of these available.
Do your eyeglasses need a tune-up? Maybe they don’t fit correctly anymore. Did you sit on them or go to sleep with them on accidently? Our experienced opticians can evaluate your needs and determine if an adjustment or repair would be of benefit for you.
