Residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses

Residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses (one position)

Mission:

The Residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses aims to provide advanced clinical training for post-graduate optometrists, allowing residents completing the program to pursue professional opportunities which require a high level of expertise in the area of cornea and contact lenses such as academia, industry, and specialty private practice.

This residency program offers a diverse and comprehensive experience  in the diagnosis and management of challenging cornea and contact lens cases using a wide variety of lens designs and materials.  The resident averages several hundred new fits and refits a year in addition to hundreds of follow-up examinations. The program primarily involves direct patient care by the resident, but clinical supervision of students, teaching in clinical laboratories or workshops, and attendance at contact lens meetings is also incorporated into the program.
