The School of Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is a leader in the use of technology for teaching and learning. Our Virtual Patient project is exploring new ways to present patient digital images with high-fidelity stereoscopic displays and our clinical simulation laboratories feature state-of-the-art human simulators. We offer almost 150 courses with online content. Some courses are taught completely online where students can complete course requirements without traveling to our campus and some courses have online content combined with live sessions on campus. All of our options include online courses. Offering content online allows students to further their education around their own schedule.
