Biography
Dr. Marti Rice has been at the UASON since 1997 and teaches in the research methods, statistics, Leadership Education in Child Health Nursing (LECHN) and biobehavioral focal area courses. Her program of research focuses on anger, stress and self-concept in children and currently involves an intervention study aimed at reducing anger and stress and enhancing self-concept (the PASS program) in school-age children. Along with research with children, she and her research team are examining interventions to help teachers manage anger and stress. In addition to her research and teaching, Dr. Rice is active in service, currently serving as the President-Elect of the Southern Nursing Research Society.
