The Department of Family/Child Health & Caregiving

The Department of Family/Child Health & Caregiving is one of three departments in the School of Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The department's faculty contribute their expertise to courses taught at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level. Baccalaureate courses consist of those concerning childbearing families and childrearing families. Master's courses include those leading to specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Specialist, Child/Adolescent Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Doctoral courses focus on family caregiving and research. Faculty in the department includes:
