Biography
Instructor in the Accelerated Master's in Nursing practice beginning in 2008 and the Family Nurse Practitioner Master's program since inception since 2002. Prior to faculty appointment I was employed as a FNP with the UAB Department of Surgery and a local Internal Medicine MD. Certified as a Women's Health NP in 1999 and acquired a post-master's FNP certification in 2000. BSN degree received from UA SON. I also have a BS in Education and a MAEd. I previously taught high school for 11 years prior to becoming a RN.
