What Is Blackboard Vista?
Blackboard Vista is a Web-based learning management system that provides a standard environment and interface for the development and delivery of Web-enhanced and completely online courses at UAB.
How Do I Access My Courses in Blackboard Vista?
Click the link to Log In to Blackboard Vista online courses.
What Are My Username and Password?
Your BlazerID is your Username and BlazerID Password is your Password.
If you do not have a BlazerID, you may create one by visiting the BlazerID Central Website. You can access your Blackboard course 24 hours after registering your BlazerID.
You can check your BlazerID(UAB Email Alias) in the UAB Electronic Phonebook.
If you can't remember your password, you may reset it here.
How Do I Prepare My Computer?
To prepare your computer please follow the following recommended set-up:
- Internet Explorer version 6 or later.
- Java 1.5.0_12 installed Remove any other versions before installing
- Microsoft Office must be up to date with the latest patches.
- Plug-ins that must be installed: RealPlayer, Adobe Reader, Flash Player, & Windows Media Player
- All pop-up blockers disabled.
- Accept/Run the Security Certificates when prompted at logon (choose "always.")
