Biography

Dr. Roberson completed the PhD Nursing degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007. He also holds a MSN (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) from the University of South Florida, and a MS in Counseling Psychology from Troy State University. His research interests are in the area of children and adolescent psychiatric mental health, specifically informed consent and decision making of children and adolescents in mental healthcare settings. He holds dual certification from the ANCC as an Adult and Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and has over 18 years of clinical experience as a psychotherapist and nurse practitioner. Prior academic appointments were at UNC Chapel Hill and Duke University Schools of Nursing.
