Ms. Moring, a UAB alumna, has worked with numerous medical teams, sponsored by Medicins Sans Frontieres (MSF, Doctors without Borders) and Medical Emergency Relief International (MERLIN). She has participated in 33 missions to many countries in times of war and peace in countries of Tanzania, Burundi, Uganda, El Salvador, Nepal, East & West Timor, Angola and Congo-Brazzaville, and collaborated with WHO, CDC and local governments. She has addressed health hazards of outbreaks (Ebola, dengue, cholera, viral hemorrhagic disease, Lassa Fever, Marburg virus, and others) and problems of community stigma. She has taught principles of environmental isolation, medical waste management, protective equipment, and sanitation. Ms. Moring states:
"Patient advocacy is something I have been known to dig my heels in for. Populations at risk certainly need champions of leadership that hold their needs high for all to see and respond to."

The CNR is on the ground floor, the west side, of the UAB School of Nursing. There are entrances from the plaza between the Webb Nutrition Building and the SON (1st floor) and from the parking lot behind Webb and Ryals Public Health Building (Ground floor).
