| The Board of Nursing received a $557,000 appropriation from the Alabama legislature in 2007 for graduate scholarships. There is a $3,800.00 scholarship (15 available) that requires practice in Alabama for at least one year following completion of the graduate program in nursing. Deadline is August 15, 2007. There is a $10,000 scholarship (50 available) that requires teaching in nursing in an Alabama college or university for at least one year following completion of the advanced degree. Deadline is August 31, 2007. There are some differences in the requirements for each and there are two separate applications. While this may be confusing, we'll be happy to clarify any questions.
