Faculty practice provides an opportunity for faculty to be engaged in service/practice activities that support the teaching, research and scholarship, and service/practice missions of the UASON. Faculty practice at the UASON-UAB includes partnerships with communities, organizations, and health care delivery systems. Further, faculty may choose to practice in clinical settings, provide expert consultation, and partner with other professional organizations such as education, business, and health care agencies. The UASON Faculty Practice Committee provides oversight in the development, management, implementation, and evaluation of all faculty practice activities.
The UASON Faculty Practice Initiative is coordinated by Dr. Jean Ivey, CRNP. Dr. Ivey also chairs the faculty practice committee. Other members of the committee include: Richard Brown, Loretta Lee, Linda Gibson, Lana Nealand, Joy Deupree, Cheryl Norris, Patsy Dudley, and Drs. Glenda Smith, Karen Saenz, Susan Appel, and Susan Lacey.
For more information and to discuss possible faculty practice partnerships, please contact the Office of Clinical Affairs and Partnerships or contact Dr. Ivey directly:
