Admission

Admission to the School of Nursing is administered through the Student Affairs Office of the School of Nursing.

BSN: For students applying to the BSN program, admission as a pre-nursing must first be achieved through the UAB Office of Undergraduate Admissions.  Upon admission, the student’s assigned pre-nursing advisor will explain the BSN admission process and issue the BSN application. (Note: you should apply well in advance of the published application deadlines for Undergraduate Admission to ensure ample time to apply to the School of Nursing.)

The Accelerated Master's in Nursing Pathway (AMNP) is a new addition to the School of Nursing's options for entrance to nursing practice for second degree students. For more information on AMNP admission, click here.

MSN: For students applying to the MSN Program, the Student Affairs Office of the School of Nursing can provide the admission information and actual application for admission. For more information on MSN admission, click here.
