The conference program at UAB reflects the commitment on the part of the faculty to excellence in education. In addition to daily morning report a broad variety of conferences are offered and the residents, fellows, rotating medical students and faculty all actively participate. Weekly conferences occur on Monday and Thursday from 5-6 pm.

Mini-symposia:
Periodically (approximately 2-3 times per year) a mini-symposium is coordinated by a faculty member that serves to address a single topic in great depth. These programs are characteristically multi-disciplinary and incorporate a variety of different learning strategies including dissection labs, computer simulations and multi-media presentations.
