UAB IT recognizes National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) annually to increase awareness and prevention of online security problems. NCSAM is spearheaded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance. In recognition, UAB IT hosted a cyber security awareness symposium for the UAB community on October 20, 2009.
