1. Begin by booting to the Fedora Installation CD or ISO and choosing “Install to Hard Drive.”

2. Establish the password for the root account.

3. Check the box next to “Encrypt system.” This will enable hard drive encryption.

4. Enter a passphrase that will be used to unlock the hard drive whenever the system is booted.

5. After you select “Write changes to disk” the system should finish the installation and then require you to reboot.

6. After rebooting you will be prompted to enter a passphrase in order to boot the computer.

7. Once you successfully boot the computer, you will need to create a user account and then login.

8. Congratulations! You have setup an encrypted Fedora installation.
