How do I set up Windows Vista to access UABWiFi?

  1. Turn on your computer and ensure that its wireless function is on. If you are using a wireless card, insert that into the computer.
  2. Click on the Start menu and select Connect to. This will open the Connect to a Network window.
  3. Click Network and Internet, and then Network and Sharing Center.
  4. Click the Add button. Select Manually create a network profile.
  5. In the Network name box, enter uabwifi.
  6. For Security type, select WEP. Locate the Security key/Passphrase field. Enter the previously assigned WEP key. Click OK.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Click Close.
  9. You must now authenticate with your Web browser.
