The menu items on the voicemail system are driven by what is actually available on your mailbox at that time.
Example 1: If you have not recorded a greeting on your mailbox, it will not prompt you to press "2" to listen to your greeting.
Example 2: If you have no new messages on your mailbox, you will not be prompted to press "1" to listen to your messages.
