Configuring the Outlook 2000 Email Client using MAPI (1st time setup)

Before configuring your Outlook Client, you will need do the following:

• Configure TCP/IP settings
• Configure WINS settings

Configuration

1. Right-click the Outlook Desktop icon and select Properties
   
   
    
2. Under the General mail tab, click Add 
   
   
3. In the Microsoft Outlook Setup Wizard, check Microsoft Exchange Server then click Next
   
   
   
4. Choose a Profile Name
   
   
   
5. In the Exchange Server Settings window enter
   
   
   
   
   • Microsoft Exchange Server: uabmsx0.ad.uab.edu
   • User Name: "Your BlazerID"
6. Choose Travel Preference then click Next
   
   
    
7. Choose a Profile, click Apply, then Close
   
   
   
8. In the Enter Password window, enter your Username and Password, then click OK
