If you already have an MAPI account configured, you will need do one of the following:
- Delete the old profile and create a new one,
- Add a new profile and make the new profile the default, or
- Add an new profile and configure Outlook to prompt you at startup as to the profile you wish to use.
- Configure TCP/IP and WINS settings
If you are sharing a client with another person, then you will need to create a new profile before beginning the configuration process.
Configuration
- Go to the Start Menu and right-click on Email (Outlook), then select Properties (screenshot)
- Select Email Accounts (screenshot)
- Choose Add New Account, then click Next (screenshot)
- For Server Type, choose Microsoft Exchange Server then click Next(screenshot)
- In the Exchange Server Settings window enter (screenshot)
- Microsoft Exchange Server: uabmsx1.ad.uab.edu
- User Name: "your blazerid"
- You do not need to configure anything under More Settings
- You should now see the Congratulations window, click OK and you are ready to read your email (screenshot)
