How do I set my UAB email account to forward to another email address?

In order to receive your UAB email at another email address -- either another internal UAB-based email account or an external one, such as your personal home account -- follow these instructions:

1. In your web browser, navigate to http://www.uab.edu/phonebook.
2. Click on the Change Information button (near the top of the page, just above the search box):
   
    
3. Enter your BlazerID and password where prompted.
4. On the Change Information page, the second field (just below your BlazerID) is Real, host-based e-mail address -- this is where you will put the email account that you wish to use to receive your UAB email. Most people will use their UAB mail account (for instance, user@mail.ad.uab.edu), but any legitimate host-based email address is valid.
   
    
5. To complete the change, click on the button at the bottom of the screen marked CHANGE.
6. To undo your mail forwarding, you can return to this screen and follow the same instructions; check with your local system administrator for the correct email address to use for your UAB account.
