How do I configure LDAP Directory Services in Outlook XP?

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Select E-mail Accounts from the Tools drop-down menu.

  3. In the E-mail Accounts window, select “Add a new directory or address book” and click Next

  4. Select Internet Directory Service (LDAP) and click Next.

  5. For the Server Name enter ldap.uab.edu.

  6. Then click on More Settings and enter dc=uab,dc=edu in the Search base field. Leave all other settings in the default state.

  7. Lastly, click Apply, OK, Next, and Finish.
