How do I configure my computer to read UAB-Email with Entourage

  • Start Entourage
  • Pull down the Tools menu and select Accounts
  • Pull down the New menu and select Mail
  • Enter Your BlazerID + @uab.edu in the E-mail Address.
  • Select the "My account is on an Exchange server" checkbox.
  • Enter your BlazerID in the UserID field. Type "uab" (without quotes) in the Domain field. In the Password field, enter the password that corresponds to your BlazerID.
  • Click "Configure account manually".
  • Click the Account Settings tab and confirm the following:
    • Account Name: UAB Exchange
    • Name: Your name
    • E-mail address: Your BlazerID + @uab.edu
    • Account ID: Your BlazerID
    • Domain: uab
    • Password: Your BlazerID's corresponding password
      1. Select "Save password in my Mac OS keychain"
    • Exchange Server: mail.ad.uab.edu
      1. Select "This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)"
      2. UNselect "Override DAV port"
  • Under the Options tab, nothing should be selected.
  • Under the Advanced tab, confirm the following:
    • Public folders server: mail.ad.uab.edu/public
      1. Select "This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)"
      2. UNselect "Override default port"
    • LDAP Server: ldap.ad.uab.edu
      1. Select "This server requires me to log in"
      2. Select "This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)"
      3. UNselect "Override default LDAP port"
    • Maximum number of results to return: 1000
    • Search base: (Should be blank)
  • Under the Delegate tab, do not change anything for initial use.
  • Under the Security tab, do not change anything for initial use.
