As of today, January 13th, Windows XP SP3 will be mandatory via WSUS. Please keep the following points in mind:
- PGP - compatibility between PGP Desktop 9.6 and XP SP3 are not technically supported, however there is a large amount of anecdotal evidence (600+ systems) that show no issues, but this is not guaranteed. The current version of PGP is available from the software library (www.uab.edu/it/software). End users are prompted for enrollment again once they log in.
- Reboots - There may be two reboots for end users. One to apply SP3, and another to assure the system is up-to-date on all the post SP3 patches.
