Welcome to UAB's Information Technology (UAB IT) Web site. 

A broad range of information technology resources are available for the UAB community. Information about services used daily, including email, administrative business systems, telephones, BlazerID and the AskIT Help Desk, as well as new and emerging technologies and cyberinfrastructure can be found through this site.

In addition to the services provided by UAB's Information Technology unit, we will also strive to provide you with a virtual set of services which may also include departmental, state, regional and national resources available for your use.

  • Lunch & Learn with Dell - Annual Overview/Roadmap Session

    UAB IT will be hosting an annual overview/roadmap session with Dell February 22nd from 11am - 1pm. Click above to read more and register.

  • UAB IT acquires campus-wide license for EndNote software

    UAB IT is pleased to announce the acquisition of an academic campus-wide (excludes Health System) license for Thomson-Reuters EndNote software. The bibliography software is available at no cost to all faculty, staff and students (academic campus only - excludes Health System) for installation on UAB-owned and home systems. The software can be download from the UAB-IT Software site at http://www.uab.edu/it/software/ .

  • Email upgrade

    On December 17 ,2011 after Commencement, UAB IT will begin an email upgrade process designed to enhance experience with the service. This process will involve a one-time adjustment to all mailboxes. Based on the number of mailboxes and volume of email involved, the changes will be implemented over a 4-6 week period. The changes will be scheduled to take place between the hours of 7pm and 7am nightly, Monday to Friday as well as anytime on Saturday or Sunday. During the period between December 17 and the upgrade of your mailbox, it will be necessary to use our web-based email client which you can access here: https://mail.ad.uab.edu.
