The UAB Graduate School only accepts scores on entrance exams (TOEFL, GMAT, GRE and MAT) taken within the last five years. In exceptional circumstances a waiver of the 5 year limit may be granted. If a student has taken an entrance exam that is more than five years old and the department/program would like to request a waiver of the 5 year limit, the department should follow the procedure below.
- Prepare a copy of all documents required for admission to the program including the test scores.
- Along with the application materials and the test scores the program director or department chair should submit a written request to Susan Banks in the Graduate School in which the reasons that the student is qualified for admission to the program are outlined.
- Ms. Banks will then review the materials submitted and respond to the request.
