Doctoral Fellowships for Minorities

The University of Alabama at Birmingham is pleased to announce the availability of special doctoral fellowships for minority students.

The fellowships include stipends of $23,000 per year, plus full payment of tuition and fees and is renewable annually for three years, assuming satisfactory academic performance.

The fellowships are available through a comprehensive minority recruitment program which was implemented at UAB in 1989. The goal of this program is to increase the numbers of doctoral degree-holding minority individuals in faculty positions at UAB and other colleges and universities throughout the United States.
