FAQ for Payroll Deduction

Q.  I am not a UAB employee, but am employed by HSF.  Am I still eligible for this deduction?

A.  At this time, payroll deduction is only available for UAB employees.  In the future we hope to offer this to HSF employees as well.  All HSF employees do, however, receive the same discount on EatRight services as UAB employees.

Q.  Does it matter if I am paid biweekly or monthly?

A.  Both biweekly and monthly paid UAB employees can utilize payroll deduction.

Q.  How do I enroll in payroll deduction?

A.  When enrolling in your selected EatRight program, notify the program director of your request to utilize payroll deduction.  An authorization form will then be provided for you to complete.   A designated member of the EatRight staff will be in charge of entering and monitoring deductions.

Q. What happens if I have change in job status?

A.  If you have a change in status that makes you unable to participate in payroll deduction, you will still be responsible for the balance due.
