Counseling & Wellness Free, confidential counseling related to personal growth, human development, and interpersonal relationships is available through the UAB Women's Center and the Counseling & Wellness Center. Counselors are especially trained to work with college-age students, but are also equipped to relate well with adult returning students.
The Women’s Center The Women’s Center offers personal (non-academic) counseling services to currently enrolled UAB students. These services are confidential, are provided by a Licensed Professional Counselor, and are free of charge to all UAB students. Issues dealt with by the Women’s Center Counselor include (but are not restricted to) eating disorders, relationship problems, sexual assault and abuse, sexual harassment, and stress management.
