Career Development

UAB Career Services provides career assessments; career counseling; information about various career fields; a resource reference library; DVDs and/or seminars about such topics as job searching, resume writing, and interview skills (for jobs, internships, or graduate school); job shadowing and internship information; job listings; and career fairs. These services are almost all free to current UAB students and alumni. This service is helpful for any student, from freshmen to seniors, from graduate students to career changers and adult returning students.

What can I do with a Major In….? - This helpful page provides lists of career paths for each college major, along with ideas of how to prepare for those careers, who hires those majors, and what other internet resources may be helpful for each type of career.
