How many kids get demyelinating diseases?

According to the National MS Society, it is estimated that 2-5% of people with MS experienced their first symptoms under the age of 18. Approximately 400,000 people have MS in North America, so there may be as many as 8,000-10,000 children who have MS and another 10,000-15,000 who have other demyelinating diseases or who have experienced what may be the initial symptoms of MS.

But rather than throw too many numbers at you, we've created a forum to allow our patients to share their stories about dealing with demyelinating disease.
Click here to visit that forum.
