Sarah has been CPODD's coordinator since May 2006. After completing a B.A. at the University of Southern Mississippi, Sarah received her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in 2005 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Before joining CPODD, her varied experience as a public health professional included development of educational materials on cancer, implementation of an exercise and weight loss program for Birmingham city employees, and research on risk communication during wide-scale emergencies. Her experience working with teens includes leading Habitat for Humanity International's Summer Youth Blitz program in Tennessee, New Mexico, and Hawaii.
Services offered: Sarah is your go-to person for everything CPODD. She answers the main CPODD phone number and email address, takes referrals, schedules appointment, organizes educational events, coordinates research at CPODD and gladly connects families and doctors to any of the other CPODD Team members. She also assists CPODD's collaboration with the other five Pediatric MS Centers of Excellence funded by the National MS Society.
