The School of Business has a selective Honors Program providing enhanced credentials to students seeking top positions in business and related fields after graduation. The Program offers outstanding opportunities in career development and networking through a newly designed curriculum focused on leadership, strategy, and business ethics. In recent years, current and former CEOs and senior executives from prominent companies have traveled to our campus to meet with Honors Program students and present corporate strategies. In the Spring 2009 Semester, former CEO of Protective Life Corp. and former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Drayton Nabers visited the School to discuss successful leadership with Honors Program students. Governor Bob Riley recently appointed Mr. Nabers to oversee the distribution of approximately $3 billion received by Alabama under the Federal Stimulus Bill of 2009.
The Honors Program is designed for students interested in graduate study and careers in accounting, banking, business law, entrepreneurship, finance, general management, industrial distribution, international business, investment management, marketing, operations, and private equity.
