Master of Business Administration & Master of Public Health (M.B.A.-M.P.H.)
Recent and proposed changes in the health care delivery system in the United States have created a substantial demand for persons with both public health backgrounds and business administration skills, making the pursuit of the M.B.A. and M.P.H. degrees an attractive option. Students who wish to pursue coordinated M.B.A.-M.P.H. degrees must apply and be admitted to the M.B.A. program and the M.P.H. program independently. Minimum requirements in each program must be satisfied. However, coursework in one of these degree programs can fulfill certain course requirements in the other program, offering a reduction in the total hours that would be necessary to complete the two degrees if they were pursued separately. Evening courses are offered by both the M.B.A. and M.P.H. programs.
The deadline for submission of an application for admission for the M.P.H. degree program in the School of Public Health is April 1st. Applications, including all supporting documentation, must be complete by May 1st.
