Dr. Lauren Skinner received the Donald J. Bowersox Award for the Best Supply Chain Paper in the Supply Chain Management and Industrial Distribution Symposium at the Society of Marketing Advances 2008 conference. The paper, "Examining the Impact of Reverse Logistics Disposition Strategies," was co-authored with Paul Bryant and Glenn Richey, both of the University of Alabama.
The scholarly paper was published in the recent issue of the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management.
Dr. Skinner has been tapped by the American Marketing Association to co-chair the Retailing and Services Track for the 2009 Winter AMA Marketing Educators' Conference. She is slated also to co-chair the Channels/Supply Chain Management Track at the 2009 Society for Marketing Advances conference.
Dr. Skinner is an Assistant Professor in the Marketing and Industrial Distribution Department. She also serves as the Faculty Advisor of the AMA Marketing Club in the School of Business.
