Faculty and students are cordially invited to participate in AMA's 2008 Marketing Week!!!
We will have speakers every day, except Friday:
Monday- Jim Windsor, Director of Web Communications for the Birmingham Convention Center
Tuesday- Email Etiquette- Hopefully this event will encourage students to begin appropriately emailing us and limiting their text language, emoticons, and reply-to-alls.
Wednesday- Doug Schneider, Vice President of Bayer Properties
Thursday- David Gibson, President of Zeekee Interactive
All speakers will be in BEC 117. Speakers begin at 3:30 and will end between 4:15 and 4:30.
Guitar Hero Tournament
Additionally, AMA will also host the first annual Guitar Hero tournament in the BEC Lobby. Prizes will be awarded to the biggest rock stars (faculty and staff are invited to participate)!
Canned Food Drive
Also, this week, we will begin our canned food drive. Please be on the lookout for donation boxes around the building in the next several days.
Gingerbread Building Contest
Finally, several of our AMA students will be participating in a gingerbread building contest to raise money for Habitat for Humanity. If you happen to be around the HUC on Wednesday night, stop by to cheer them on.
AMA Info
AMA is open to ALL majors, even those outside the business school. The speaker series this year is focused on development and opportunities in the Birmingham area.
