The School of Business hosted the Annual Scholarship Luncheon on Friday, September 21 at The Club to honor the donors and student recipients of scholarships. There were close to 250 guests who enjoyed lunch and a program which included remarks by UAB President Carol Garrison and Dean Bob Holmes.
There were four School of Business students who spoke about their personal experiences at UAB and expressed their deep appreciation for their scholarships and the impact these awards has had on their lives.
The student speakers were Amanda Hambrick, Shannae Kelly, Dave Karr and Samrin Tanzeem. There was more than $330,000 awarded to 157 deserving students for the 2007-2008 academic year.
