Carolina Handling/Raymond Corporation Scholarship
A scholarship of variable amount is awarded for one academic year. Recipients may re-apply in following years but one individual recipient is limited to four years. Awarded to a full time entering freshmen, transfer or currently enrolled student pursuing a career in the materials industry, having prior experience in materials handling, majoring in Industrial Distribution, and available for summer practicum with scholarship sponsor. Current UAB ID students should be involved in extracurricular activities on campus and in the community. Recipient must complete a minimum of 24 hours during the academic year and maintain a 3.0 GPA overall. A committee will choose the recipient and personal interviews are required.
GE Industrial Distribution Endowed Scholarship
$2,500 is awarded to an entering freshman that designates ID as their major in the UAB School of Business. High school GPA, ACT or SAT scores, participation in extra-curricular activities, financial need and career goals will be considered. Currently enrolled ID students with good academic standing, commitment to completing degree requirements in ID, extra-curricular activities, and community service will also be considered for the scholarship. Recipients must earn a minimum of 24 semester hours per academic year to remain eligible and to re-apply in following years but will be limited to four academic years.
Jackson Endowed Scholarship in Industrial Distribution
$1,500 is awarded to a transfer or current UAB School of Business student majoring in Industrial Distribution. The recipient must complete a minimum of 24 hours during the academic year and maintain a 3.0 GPA. The recipient must show active participation in extracurricular and/or community service activities. Recipients may reapply for one year if they maintain a 3.0 GPA.
Osram Sylvania ID Scholarship
A scholarship of a variable amount is awarded to entering freshmen or currently enrolled ID majors. For entering freshmen include ACT or SAT scores, high school GPA, extracurricular activities and career goals are considered as criteria. Currently enrolled students must have high academics, commitment to their degree and community service. Amount awarded is based upon GPA.
