How many bottles of Ketamine am I allowed?

You are allotted three (3) 10ml bottles of Ketamine at a time. Generally, the same number of empty bottles and logs that are returned can be replaced (up to three bottles). If a bottle is not empty and cannot be returned, but additional drugs are needed, the log for that unfinished bottle may be presented to demonstrate the amount of controlled substance remaining. For example, if three bottles were obtained with the original order and only two bottles have been emptied, an additional 3 bottles may be obtained by returning the two completed logs and a copy of the partially completed log for the third bottle.

Which substances/drugs need to be logged?

ALL CONTRLLED SUBSTANCES ARE REQUIRED TO BE LOGGED! Some of these include Ketamine, Pentobarbital, Buprenorphine, Diazapam, Fentanyl, Fatal Plus, and any drug that has a C - I, II, III, IIIN, IV, V printed on the label.
If you receive the controlled substance from ARP, we will provide you with a drug log that corresponds to a particular bottle.

Can I obtain drugs from the UAB pharmacy?

You are able to obtain any drug from the UAB pharmacy except for controlled substances. All controlled substances are acquired from the ARP unless the researcher has their own DEA license and the corresponding drug schedule related to the drug they are acquiring. In order to acquire drugs from the UAB pharmacy, an internal requisition must be filled out and signed by an ARP Veterinarian before taking it to the pharmacy.
