
UAB encourages all parents to take part in a special group providing parents with a way to get involved, get information, and get the support they need. The UAB Parents Association encourages communication and understanding between parents and the university, enhances the college experience for students and their families, provides opportunities for parent involvement with UAB, distributes information on student development trends, and regularly keeps parents up to date on important news affecting their students. The organization allows parents to become part of a dynamic network where they can interact with other parents with similar interests and concerns. Members also receive special benefits, including discounted tickets to selected events at the Alys Robinson Stephens Performing Arts Center and invitations to exclusive events, plus membership gifts, a regular newsletter, and more. But the biggest benefit is enriching the college experience for their students.
All parents of currently enrolled UAB students are eligible for membership, and the one-time fee is $50 per family. Parents can join online using the secure credit card form, or they can complete and return the form included in the brochure.
