Whether you're sending your first child to college or finally preparing for an empty nest, being involved with your college student in a healthy and supportive way is very important.
Our students come to UAB with parents who have been there for them - PTA, band boosters, Touchdown Clubs - you name it, our parents have been leaders on behalf of their students. So it is natural to want to continue with that support throughout your student's college years. You want to be "in the loop" and ready to offer direction, some parental advice, a word of encouragement or a little something to say, "I believe in you."
We hope you'll join the UAB Parents' Association where all those opportunities are built in and ready-made. Want to be part of the fall football fun? Attend a Parents' Association-sponsored tailgate and game. Interested in discounts for businesses on and around campus? Join the Parents' Association and receive a discount card that you can use or pass on to your son or daughter.
Want to send a message to your student during finals or during the holidays...The UAB Parents' Association and From Mom.com have teamed up to provide a great selection of care packages for your college student! Click here to print an order form or order online.
Whatever your level of involvement, we hope you'll be a parent who is proud to be part of the UAB Family!
